Welcome to all, and thanks for checking in at TheWoodSpinner.net!
The primary purpose of this site is to present a series of video blogs about the art, craft, and techniques behind woodturning. My goal is to eventually amass a reference library of videos that will provide you with information on various aspects of turning, from basic instruction on technique (with beginners in mind) to demonstrating some advanced projects.
My mission here is to educate, entertain, and inspire. This is my opportunity to give back some of the generosity shared with me by the woodturning community, and I hope that folks interested in woodturning can pick up a few tips about the craft. I hope you find something here to entertain you as well, if only as a quick distraction at your desk while the boss is away. And, with a bit of good fortune maybe you’ll see something here that will inspire you to pick up a chunk of wood and a sharp tool and head for your own lathe.
If you’ve visited the site before, you’ll notice that the site looks completely different than when it was first posted. I completely revamped the site, having given up on FrontPage and moved into the world of possibilities offered by WordPress. I have several episodes of The Wood Spinner “in the can” that I will post as I get WordPress figured out and can divert my attention back to video production and editing.
